The parts immediately before and after fights, when Cato is being the perfect manservant in the face of Clouseau being a complete asshat, go a long way to sell how amazingly ridiculous the whole thing is.

Stretching back pretty much as far as I can remember, we would do movie nights with these on VHS from the local rental store. Why we never got our own copies back then I can’t imagine - we must have rented the copies they had nearly two dozen times each.

Strikes Again, actually. “Ah, forty winks”... “rip”... “RIPPP”. I find it hard to decide between that one, the “heavy breathing”/saw and fall into paint (and Cato into plaster) in Revenge, and the fridge in Return.
